Before publishing, confirm the subscription terms below match what you configure in App Store Connect.

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Ka Yan Wan ("Morro", "we", "us") governing your use of the Morro app and related services (the "Service"). By downloading, installing, or using Morro, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. The Service

Morro is a screen-time accountability app. It shows your calendar alongside your device usage and asks a short hourly question so you can keep an honest record of how you spend your time. Morro is a personal tool for reflection. It is not medical, psychological, financial, or professional advice.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use Morro. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for all activity that happens under it. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized use.

3. Subscriptions, trial, and billing

Morro is offered as an auto-renewable subscription.

Prices may change; we will give notice of changes as required, and changes will not apply to a period you have already paid for.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the data you put into Morro, including your calendar information, your answers, and your recorded activity. You grant us a limited license to store and process that data solely to operate the Service for you. Our handling of your data is described in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms by reference.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and the Morro name and mascot, is owned by us and protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

7. Third-party services

Morro relies on third-party services, including Apple (App Store, push notifications, payment), our backend host, and any calendar provider you connect. Your use of those services is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party services.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that its prompts or summaries are accurate. You use Morro at your own discretion and risk.

9. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so some may not apply to you.

10. Termination

You may stop using Morro and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue the Service. On termination, your right to use the Service ends and your data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. We will post the updated version with a new date, and for material changes we will notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be handled in the courts located there, unless your local law gives you a right to a different forum.

13. Apple-required terms

You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple, and that Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for the Service. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them against you. In the event of any failure of the app to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.
